The Benefits of Membership

The benefits of Jockey Club Rooms membership are summarised below:

  • Members are entitled to use the Rooms at the Jockey Club in Newmarket High Street throughout the year, with special member access during Sales and Racing. There are Members rates for bedrooms and "Friends of Member" bedroom rates also.
  • The clubhouse is open to Members for tea/coffee between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, and there is a Club Lunch every Friday, great for networking. Members can also book in advance lunches for 2/4 people and/or breakfast if they are not staying overnight.
  • The Morning Room Bar is open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
  • Members may bring guests into the Rooms for members’ events, subject to availability.
  • Members may hire the Rooms for private events, social or otherwise at rates lower than those charged to non-members.
  • The car park in Newmarket High Street is available throughout the year for members' cars only.
  • There are restaurant/bar/viewing facilities for Rooms members and their guests on the two Newmarket racecourses and a marquee at Ascot during the Royal Meeting. A ballot is held for this.
  • There are reciprocal arrangements with other clubs, including The Sloane Club in London, Le Cercle in Deauville and the Thoroughbred Club of America in Lexington.
  • The prestige that comes with people knowing that you are a member of The Jockey Club Rooms and the contacts that membership provides.
